九合一選舉開票結果出爐，爭取連任的民進黨籍黃偉哲以得票率48.80％、43萬3684票，險勝得票率43.63％、38萬7731票的國民黨對手謝龍介。

南市選委會統計，此次台南市長選舉投票率為58.68％，民進黨黃偉哲獲43萬3684得票數、48.80%得票率，國民黨謝龍介獲38萬7731票、43.63%得票率，無黨籍許忠信3萬8697票、4.35%得票率，無黨籍林義豐2萬4606票、2.77%得票率，無黨籍吳炳輝3956票、0.45%得票率。
