九合一大選持續開票中，新北市長侯友宜陣營稍早表示，侯友宜得票數104萬票，民進黨新北市長候選人林佳龍約62萬票，侯友宜大贏林佳龍超過40萬票，侯友宜選舉辦公室表示，侯友宜預計晚上8點到場致詞。

2018年新北市長選舉，侯友宜得票數116萬5130張票，民進黨新北市長候選人蘇貞昌87萬3692票，兩人票數差距29萬票，時隔4年，侯友宜此屆爭取連任，而對手林佳龍目前得票數大幅落後侯友宜，雖然還沒開完票，但票數差距遠大於蘇貞昌當時票數。
