開箱綠美圖 圖書館：閱讀新章‧遨遊書海
中市圖新總館首創分齡分棟，規劃兒童閱覽區、青少年閱覽區、期刊報紙區及開架閱覽區等，各自擁有獨立空間，卻又彼此相鄰串連、共享資源，館藏結合藝術文化與台中在地特色，擁有超過100萬冊的圖書與電子書資源。為因應數位化時代設有digital hub數位光境，在閱讀體驗方面，設置了世界講堂，作為日後邀請作者與讀者互動的閱聽空間。
民眾可由綠美圖大廳乘坐電扶梯或電梯，前往位於3樓的圖書館大廳，大廳挑高7公尺，映入眼簾的是一個開闊且明亮的閱讀空間，大廳內設有服務櫃檯、自助借書機、館藏查詢、圖書消毒機等設施，另有新書展示區及個人閱覽區。布置陳設多以曲線設計，包括花形書架與花形椅，並結合冷氣迴風口的「迴風書架」，運用空氣循環原理促進室內通風，兼具實用、美觀與舒適性。
